8Dio Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion – for Kontakt VST-AU-AAX is used an advanced technique called, Groove Sampling™ that allows you to create hyper-realistic percussive grooves with a single touch of a key. Groove Sampling is a proprietary method developed by 8Dio and is currently patent pending. There is no going back after this.

Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion contains 5 different instruments and 3 microphone positions that are all easy-accessed from our built-in browser. The instruments cover a wide range of auxiliary percussion (ex. Aluphone, Caisa, Scaffaphone, Sixxen & Tubaphone)

The majority of instruments in Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion were also recorded with two different types of mallets, sticks and brushes. So imagine playing a unique Caisa with brushes or sticks. The ability to choose mallets widens the usability of the library, especially in regards to cinematic scoring.

Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion contains 3 microphone positions (Close, Mid, Room) that each have a very distinct sound. Weve also included a new dual layered FX system. The first part is our front-face FX system that gives you control over dynamics, filters, pitch and micro-pitch, delay, bit-resolution and our new textural convolution delay. The new textural delay allows you to take and use them as delay components, so the instrument will delay other sounds than just itself. Weve also included our new Chaos FX engine, which gives you a large control over things such as EQ, Distortion, Stereo-Delay and an additional convolution reverb.

It has always been our mantra to push sampling forward in regards to realism and playability. Aura Studio Exotic Percussion is the first of several to utilize our proprietary Groove Sampling™ method and we really think it is going to make compositions richer and easier to create.

New Groove Sampling™
The core of Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion revolves around our new and patent pending Groove Sampling techniques™. Groove Sampling allows you to play any of the 5 instruments with ultra-realistic sound and precision. All es come with traditional multi-samples and new groove samples, so you can play and mix them side by side. The Groove Samples can either be controlled on your modwheel or via our new Mod-Sequencer. You will never go back after trying them.

Internal Browser
Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion comes with a built-in browser environment, so no more loading files for everything you want to try. You have everything right at your finger tips and the ability to select any of our 5 instruments articulations with a single click.

Textural Convolution Delay
Textural Convolution Delay is a new way of using convolution to create textural delays. The idea is to use non-conventional convolution impulses to augment the existing sound. So when the instrument delays – you will not just get a normal delay of the instrument, but also get the delay and texture of the convolution. This concept is called Textural Convolutions.

New Front-Faced FX and Chaos 3.4 FX
Aura Tonal Exotic Studio Percussion contains two parallel FX systems. The first one is our new Front-Faced FX, which allows you to control the most fundamental effects from the front panel (ex. Dynamics, Filters, Pitch, Delay, Crusher and our new Textural Delay). You can also go deeper with our new Chaos FX system, which includes Step-Based Filtering, EQ, Bit-Crusher, Distortion, Dual Stereo-Delay and an additional convolution system on top of our custom Textural Convolution Delays.
